Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii Through The Eyes From Japan
The book "Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii Trough The Eyes From Japan" was published in March 2024. Not the next book in a row, but a book with unique photos taken by a Japanese photographer. This is the press release from the publisher:
Recently, at the end of 2023, fifty years after Elvis' legendary concert in Hawaii... many valuable, long-lost negatives have been discovered: beautiful photos taken by Japanese cameraman Yoshiji Kizaki. Mr. Kizaki is one of the few photographers to photograph not only the actual show in January 1973, but also the three Aloha performances and press conferences held in November of the previous year.
Finally they will be reprinted from the original negatives and eventually published as a beautiful photo book! The publisher has carefully re-scanned all of Kizaki's fantastic photos and selected approximately 300 of them. The book also includes contributions from people involved in the live satellite broadcast and record release. An in-depth look at how the concert of the century came about.
Includes photographs of several people involved, as well as documentation from newspapers and record companies of the time. A valuable and lasting reference work/photo book of the Japanese Aloha From Hawaii.
