MRS - Elvis On Stage February 1973 - Deluxe 4-CD set
Memphis Recording Service, the renowned British label, is pleased with the 4CD Deluxe set and LP collection entitled 'Elvis On Stage February 1973', which theyreleased in June 2024.
This extensive 4CD set offers a diverse selection of live performances recorded in February 1973. These performances took place during Elvis' eighth Las Vegas engagement at the Hilton Hotel, just weeks after the historic satellite television broadcast of "Aloha From Hawaii" on January 14.
For the first time, all shows are presented in stereo, with special attention to CD3 (February 3 Dinner Show) which is considered MRS's best stereo mix to date. A bonus CD with remastered rehearsal tracks, recorded days before the start of the engagement, is also part of this set.
The set is accompanied by a booklet containing rare photographs and memorabilia from this period, and also includes liner notes that provide the context for these special recordings.
The photo shown on the cover appears to be the photo we know from the 'Raised On Rock' album. But it's not! There are a few differences: the shadow on the inside of Elvis' cape is slightly different, the microphone wire hangs slightly lower compared to Elvis' cape, but especially Elvis' mouth has a different shape in this beautiful action photo! This is a unique photo of Elvis in action on stage. Beautiful design by MRS!
