The Follow That Dream collectors label, in collaboration with Flaming Star, has another special release in store. Later this year, the 4CD/2-book set Soldier Boy – 53 310 761 will be released, an extensive edition entirely dedicated to Elvis Presley's time in the military.
This luxury collector's edition is presented in a numbered slipcase and combines two substantial hardcover books with four CDs full of unique audio material.
The first book, Memphis To Brooklyn, follows Elvis from his enlistment in March 1958, through his basic training in Texas, to his departure from Brooklyn for Germany in September of that same year. In addition, extensive attention is paid to the legendary Nashville recording session of June 1958 at Studio B.
The first two CDs contain this complete studio session, presented for the first time in the original recording order.
The second book focuses entirely on Elvis's time in Germany. Through rare photos, documents, and memories from fellow soldiers, friends, and family members, a detailed picture is painted of his first months in Europe.
CD 3 and CD 4 contain Elvis' private recordings from Germany from 1958 and 1959, which were restored especially for this release.
BOOK 1 - MEMPHIS TO BROOKLYN
Hardback coffee table style deluxe book, illustrated throughout with many rare and newly discovered photographs and documents. The book chronicles Elvis Presley's army career from his induction in March, basic and advanced training in Texas, and his departure from Brooklyn to Germany in September 1958.

CD 3 & CD 4 contains the private Elvis Presley home recordings from Germany in 1958 and 1959. The audio has been newly restored exclusively for this release.
