Two Historic Shows From Memphis
The 2CD Deluxe contains the complete recordings of Elvis' performances on March 16, 1974 (afternoon show) and March 17, 1974 (evening show) at the Mid-South Coliseum in his hometown of Memphis. For Elvis, this meant his long-awaited return to a concert stage in Memphis, fourteen years after his last performance in the city. Both shows have been completely remastered and mixed in stereo. According to MRS, this is their best mix to date, which also comes very close to the original RCA release of the final part of this series of concerts.
The accompanying booklet is packed with rare photographs, memorabilia and background information that places these special home performances in their proper historical context.
The 2LP release contains the concert from March 16, 1974 and is available in two versions: black vinyl and clear vinyl. The clear vinyl version is only available through authorized Elvis dealers and fan clubs, such as ShopElvisMatters – not in regular stores.
